Recognition of Good Industrial Design (GIO)
An organization that highly values design.
The Recognitions are an initiative of Designlink. Almost 1000 products have been awarded since 1986. The recognitions have been an important hallmark for industrial design in the Netherlands for 27 years. Many relevant organisations, institutions, sponsors and intermediaries support the recognitions.
Special Awards for Excellence
The recognitions are intended to bring the importance of good design to the attention of a wide audience. The jury bases its decision on five criteria. An Award for ‘best’ product is also awarded for each of these criteria. These Awards make it clear what is meant by ‘Good Design’.
